Everything.It was a perfect stay with wonderful hosts and would highly recommend.The weather wasn’t good so having a lovely protected patio to sit on and watch the ocean was a bonus .Monty also provided a good selection for a continental breakfast.

Excellent location with views over Mangawhai. Host was lovely and very accommodating without being overly present. Little studio was beautifully presented and appointed. Brochures to assist with finding local walks etc. excellent location a short drive to the village. Clean and very modern but still homely and had the right kiwi Bach vibe we wanted. Thoroughly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Mangawhai Lodge. It's located at the top of a hill and has outstanding views. Jeanette our host was absolutely lovely and made it feel like we were staying with family. Breakfast was fantastic and freshly cooked each day with the choice of continental with yummy fresh fruit salad as an added bonus or a eggs, bacon and such. The lodge is not right in town center, but it's a short 15 walk to get to the cafes and restaurants. It's also within 10 to 1 hour drive to many awesome experiences and places. So you can see beautiful beaches and go surfing near by, do walking routes and explore cliffs, forrest and waterfalls or even a little city life in Whangarei.

We loved our stay here. It was private, it had all the amenities needed. The little outside deck was perfect for tanning. The bathroom was very spacious. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable also, i had asked for some cakes upon arrival as we were celebrating my partners bday and they had it set out as we entered the room...it was beautiful THANK YOU! The pool was refreshing and the late night spa pool was much needed. Thank you Waipu Cove for your great hospitality.

    Absolutely stunning beach with white sand and surfable waves...

    Absolutely stunning beach with white sand and surfable waves whilst we were there. Looking to the sea, on the left around the rocks is Lang's Cove which is accessible at low time (or you can walk down from the road when the tide is higher). Lang's Cove is one of the most stunning beaches I've seen and is a must visit. Also the walk from Lang's Beach to Waipu Cove is absolutely breathtaking with rocks just like those at Punakaiki. It's 1 1/2 hours each way.
