United StatesBruce and Teresa were fabulous hosts! Our cottage was so romantic and cozy. I never rent a place where I have to share a bathroom, but I made an exception. I'm so glad I did! They had three toilet rooms, two with showers. They were extremely clean and spacious. The BEST part of it was that it made us go outside at night and see the beauty. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day, but on a clear night...OMG! The shared kitchen was a HUGE bonus. It was well equipped with a full size refrigerator, oven, stove, and all the utensils necessary to make a fabulous meal. The three cottages are amongst the enormous garden and you feel like you are living in a fairytale! I highly recommend this place and it's so close to the big Kauri trees!

United StatesThe place is gorgeous and it was an easy drive to see the tall and old trees!! Robin prepared dinner during two nights of our stay and she is an excellent chef!! The art gallery in town is lovely and serves a good breakfast. If heading to the area definitely book this place!!

I've used this accomodation many times. It's easy to book and is at a reasonable price. I know you need to book early or in advance IN THE HOLIDAYS and when events are on. I booked online from the opononi Pub once. I was lucky to get a room that was available at the time. That's why booking on line is just as good as ringing up. Ownership is changing in July I hope the new owners can maintain the previous owners standards. Always willing to support the accommodation.Guest review byMarie - 8.0

We drove to the carpark & walked out to the Point. Lovely views. Spectacular Sand dunes. It was a stop over of 2 days so we could go & play GOLF. RAWENE. Easy to get around Opononi. Beautiful views of the harbour Beach is across the road from accommodation Fish & chips to die for Friendly people Rugged, natural, quiet & uncluttered beauty on the west coast. You don’t go to Opononi/Omapere to shop, its the place to go when you want to find peace, harmony & spirituality. Great spot, great views of the harbour where ever you stay. Nice restaurants, cafes and bars. Has a great little Four Square for shopping. It's a handy base to visit other attractions such as the giant kauri and the Koutu Boulders. We were there on a Saturday so the Markey was open. There are harbour cruises and kayaking available and trips to the sand dunes for tobogganing.Guest review byRosieNew Zealand

We stayed here for the night as we wanted to do some walks in the Waipoua Forest to see the big Kauri trees. It had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Bed and pillows really comfy. View to die for and great deck for afternoon drinkies.
