Our stay at the desert camp was truly unforgettable! The camp was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hospitality was outstanding, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was also great, both dinner and breakfast offered great variety and delicious flavors, perfect after a day of adventure. Stargazing at night was magical, with the clear desert sky filled with countless stars—a truly mesmerizing experience. During the day, the thrill of dune bashing was an absolute adrenaline rush, adding excitement to the tranquility of the desert. This place is so beautiful. The garden created such relaxing atmosphere. The playground was the highlight for our kids. The bed was comfortable and we got an additional mattress too. The staff was really helpful. There was quite a space in the back yard to hang our laundry. We drove to the nearby sand dune in the evening. The view was fantastic and there was enough sand for the kids.

The hosts of the camp made our stay an incredible experience! The camp is beautiful, situated away from other camps. The tent was large and comfortable. We enjoyed camel meat and other specialities prepared on the burnfire for supper and a nice breakfast. There was also Omani coffee and tea with dates served on arrival. We enjoyed the dune drive with the host, which ended with a perfect sunset view. At night we climbed a nearby dune where we could see the starry sky. We recommend this place for an authentic experience !

Overall experience was so good. Views are just spectacular. Rooms are very cleam and cozy, especially for a camp in desert. Food they provided are tasty as well (I brought my own food which was never used). Staff are very welcoming and truly friendly. Totally worth the money!

We had an unforgettable experience here, like in a fairy tale from the Arabian Nights amidst the breathtaking desert dunes, we experienced genuine, warm hospitality. We checked into a villa that we were told was ours and were looked after by Tushar, who was invisible, very respectful of privacy and yet always there when we needed him. He explained that the owner of the house, Mohammed, had told him that it wasn't about money, the only important thing was that the guests were happy and that they were treated like family. The landlord, Mohammed himself, took us into the desert and treated us to a big dinner in the middle of the dunes, and when a sandstorm came up, Mohammed even conjured up an innovative shelter for us out of flying carpets. On the day of our departure, we were surprised by Mohammed and his children who visited us with presents, we experienced the great hospitality of Oman first hand and felt at home, and now, back home, we miss it very much.

Sama Al Sharqiyah Camp is situated in Al Wāşil. Outdoor seating is also available at the luxury tent. There is a seating area, a dining area and a kitchen equipped with kitchenware.

We had some troubles to reach the camp with our 2wd car. Thanks to Hamid we finally reached the camp. Although there was no other people, but us we spent an emerging evening with delicious dinner. We had fruits and coffee, we did some stars gazing, we enjoyed the fire. Hamid did for us delicious bread on the fire. Evening was great. Thanks a lot.
