The village doesn't offer much, but that's part of its charm...
The village doesn't offer much, but that's part of its charm. It also doesn't need to offer more than the access to that beautiful long long wave... There is no commercialization of the surf scene at all. No surf equipment to buy, but also no t-shirts, hoodies, caps, beanies, etc. For me it was actually a problem, as I was short on some clothes and couldn't find a place to buy them in the village. When you're done surfing, there isn't much to do around, but you can always chill with a book or hang out in the hotel and meet interesting people.Guest review byGabrielIsrael - 10.0
Interesting place.
Interesting place. I visited in December just before Christmas so it was super quiet. I wasn’t sure about the place at first but after a day on the beach I knew I could stay there much longer. We extended our stay and enjoyed the great food, relax and walks on the beach. Hope, I will return one day.Guest review byMonikaSlovakia - 10.0

Puerto chicama is a very nice and laid back town. The beach is very well maintained. It has a nice boulevards along the beach with some cool areas to sit and chill. Of course the waves a beautiful to see and the sunset is amazing. People are really nice and food is amazing. There are nice colorful houses and promenades.
