Leili Home is a very comfortable and well located apartment perfect for a short or long stay in Papeete. It had everything we needed, was tastefully furnished, well appointed and so close to restaurants, the supermarket and an easy walk into the main part of town. The host was incredibly friendly, helpful and responsive and for a small fee even drove us to the airport for our late night flight. Best of all the apartment was exceptional value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean and comfortable host Vehia was AMAZING and very attentive. Apartment was well maintained with the most amazing views. Great WiFi and Aircon when needed. Also swam in the pool. Up a steep hill so if you don’t have a car or access to a vehicle you will get a good leg workout.

The host was very kind and always responded promptly to our messages. They provided us with all the information we wanted to know. The room was also very clean, fully equipped with everything we needed, and the air conditioning was comfortable. It was a bit cold, so we couldn’t use the pool, but we’d love to try it next time we stay. Thanks to this, we were able to enjoy the rest of our trip very comfortably. Thank you so much!

    Papeete itself is very bland and the market is over-rated (in my opinion). I wished I had planned properly and spent few nights at Moorea, but I didn't know what to expect. Rookie mistake 🫣 Lessons learnt. Despite mixed advice from the locals, I felt safe walking at night, which is a positive outlook for the Island 🙏 As many reviewers have mentioned, Papeete is only a good stopover to the other islands 🏝 😀 The 2 highlights of my stay was the day trip to Moorea, doing the safari excursions and the cultural night at the InterContinental Hotel.

    Over-all it was great.

    Over-all it was great. We spent 7 days on Tahiti, plus a half-day excursion on Moorea. 5 days on Tahiti would probably be enough. Next time we will visit a couple of others islands for a few days. Good food and shopping in Papeete.

    Spending a day or two there would have been enough, there was obvious poverty, with multiple homeless people. Not what I expected at all. I hired a car to visit the sites, but when I was driving around, everything looked closed, or uninviting. As a solo tourist, this wasn't the best place to visit. If I had known better, I would have book a night & visited the different islands.

    The people are what make it so good.

    The people are what make it so good. Very polite people who appear to be honest and kind. The shopping mall across the road from the Hilton was a wonderful place with a food hall and a good supermarket. We enjoyed a day trip to Moorea and a taxi trip around that island. Also the 5-hour Tahiti group trip and the boat trip. I did not do any snorkelling as I do not swim and I thought perhaps an activity in knee-high water could have been included in the boat trip. The Museum of the Islands was a good activity.

    Good shops and a huge market, though all very expensive. Their own hand-made pareos and other garments are beautiful. There is a lovely garden (Paofae) along the sea front which starts just beyond the marina. From here we watched the sunset which was stunning. There are beaches around the island, both white and black sand, but not in Papeete itself. There are buses but we didn't use them as we had the private tour.

    It was such a beautiful place.

    It was such a beautiful place. The open markets were exceptional in that they offered fresh produce and a variety of local arts and crafts. The artisans were truly gifted using unique techniques to highlight everyday items grown/foraged in the surrounding environment. I definitely plan to go back and soak up the island atmosphere!! And a shout out to a little establishment we ate at: Jojo's Pizza was the BOMB! We ate there the last evening before we left; My only complaint was that we didn't find this place sooner!

    This hotel gave us mixed feelings. The suite was very nice and clean, looked recently renovated. The lobby as well, looks very good. The outside of the hotel though, looks really bad, and so does the swimming pool area, with missing tiles, and fitness devices deposited near the pool. Hotels in Papeete are very expensive, but this one was not cheap either. The room looked 4*, but the outside looks like a 2*. It's a pity, as with some renovation work it would be an ok hotel. A good thing is the hotel has a very spacious garage.

    The hotel advertises that the owners arrange transfers to and from the airport and port. We were welcomed at the airport and driven to the hotel which is on various levels meaning that suitcases have to be carried up or down stairs. We were staying four nights and the hotel had arranged a hire car for us. All very efficient. A plus was that they agreed to get our laundry done for us. The only communal facility is a terrace with a small bar. This is very popular locally.

    Location is half way between the airport and Papeete downtown. Located across the road from Pacific Plaza, which houses a large supermarket and pharmacy. There is a bus service from outside the resort to downtown. The resort and rooms are maintained in excellent condition.
