We visited different restaurants, and most of them have a modern island style that still keeps the local charm. You can really feel that the island is improving and growing, with new cafés, shops, and beach spots popping up, yet it still keeps its peaceful and friendly atmosphere. The people are welcoming, the sunsets are stunning, and the beaches are absolutely beautiful. General Luna is the most touristy part of Siargao.
General Luna is the most touristy part of Siargao. Lots of stores, shops, restaurants around. Easily walkable, but also accessible by tricycle/tuktuk. It's a bit too busy for me as I prefer more quiet and peaceful spot for accomodation. We stayed in the General Luna area and was a bit surprised to see how much trash and dirty areas were in the area. We were told to visit Cloud 9 and its nice for surfing, but dirty area, dirty restaurants, and very dirty streets.
