It's not common to visit Gdynia in winter but it has its charms. The food for instance, Pierogi at Mandu, was tasty and plentiful. We caught a movie in Helios cinema, which requires travelling one stop on the SKM suburban train. From Gdynia you can travel to "the beginning of Poland", the Hel peninsula. The village is definitely worth a visit. We managed to see as many as four seals in the sea :) You can do ship or bird watching - depending on your preference - from the beach, the views are great.Guest review byPawełPoland - 8.0

The weather was predictably freezing cold (December) so make sure you come prepared for the icy winds! Local food is fantastic, and really good value for money. Lots to see and do, including woodland and coastal walks, the navy museum (well worth a visit) and historic vessels moored in the harbour, convenient train services to Sopot and Gdansk and the wonderful Christmas markets. Gdynia is great and nice city close to Sopot and Gdansk. There are lot of places to visit and restaurants to eat. Great restaurants with original Polish cuisine or worldwide cuisine to try. Clean comfortable rooms, sea view, we did not have a mini fridge in our room. Good pool and sauna. Tasty and varied breakfast, delicious coffee, gofry, there is everything and for every taste, the only thing I would like to add to the breakfast assortment is croissants and good tea. The location is perfect - close to both the beach and public transport, yet tucked away in a quiet, green area. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable, with an excellent balcony.
