It was a wonderful visit to Casas de Faia. The location and setting and the quality of the accommodation is amazing. Duarte and his family were incredibly kind and wonderful hosts. There is a beautiful pool to cool off in the heat and you are surrounded by wildlife on the farm and greeted by two lovely dogs. Breakfast was lovely and a really well arranged. A superb stay. Neil was super relaxed and very easy to talk to. He took time to let our kids feed his animals with him on his small holding - Goats, sheep, pigs and chickens all just next door to the cottage. Very very relaxing and simple few days. If we ever come to visit our friends that live nearby we would definitely look to stay with Neil again.

Our stay at Assumar Country House in Assumar was absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived, the owners - a lovely married couple -made us feel right at home. They were incredibly friendly, always accessible, and eager to help us discover the wonderful region, which is rich in food and wine experiences. The property itself is stunning. Set amidst the beautiful Alentejo fields, it offers breathtaking views and a refreshing pool that adds to the serene atmosphere. The house, an old historical building, has been tastefully renovated, blending its charming past with modern comforts. Our room was very comfortable, with a spacious bathroom that felt quite luxurious. Interestingly, there was no TV in the room, which we actually appreciated as it encouraged us to fully relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. Served on a lovely terrace with a great view, it featured a variety of fresh fruits, real eggs, delicious pastries, and freshly baked bread. The hosts once again went above and beyond, making our mornings truly special. Leaving Assumar was tough after such a wonderful stay. It felt like saying goodbye to a little piece of paradise. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enriching getaway. It was an amazing experience that we will cherish for a long time. We will definitely be back!

Everything! From the moment you arrive the staff let you feel relaxed: after returning from the spa-treatment the fireplace was lit in our room and 2 glasses of wine waiting for us. The surroundings, the swimmingpool, the staff, all excellent!
