It felt more like a luxury eco-lodge than a hotel. Location is beautiful with the most amazing sunsets and sunrise which I have ever seen. Everything looks news and stylish. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Sandra and Rebecca made our stay very comfortable. Food was good in the restaurant, though evening menu is rather small. We appreciated the focus on sustainability.

It really was an amazing experience. We stayed for the whole trip here and it is a great location to explore the island and then come back in the evening. Lots of parking places outside no need to cramp in the small streets of the center. It had a very nice pool on the rooftop.

The host was very communicative and friendly. Questions were answered promptly and she also sent a message just to check in, which was lovely. The property was perfect for our family, as we have 4 young children. It was equipped with everything to accommodate that including crib, potty seat and high chair. The yard was huge offering lots of room to play...my kids loved the soccer net, swings and ping pong table.

    this hotel was far from the airport or anything else for that matter, if you had to walk so a car is a necessity, and although the hotel had amenities like restaurant (only open for breakfast with the same breakfast every day) and vending machines (which if you could find a working one was empty( best piece of advise is find a grocery store, the island living is the best but it does take some getting used to if your from North America.

    Stunning location. Incredible volcanic scenery.

    Stunning location. Incredible volcanic scenery. Wonderful wildlife. Great bars and eateries up the hill in Agua do Pau. Speeding Traffic in the area a major problem. Roads very dangerous, particularly after dark. Illicit drugs openly available close by if that's your thing, probably contributing to the road safety issues.
