not so big town, with great and wide sandy beaches, good choice of restaurants and bars for all tastes. i was staying here in September, so it was not very crowded. whether you enjoy relaxing on the beach, or long walks along the beach - this place is perfect. in addition you can take public transport from here to nearby places - it is convenient and reliable way of getting to Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais etc.Guest review byemolendaPoland - 10.0

The place for surfing, sun and beach life. Several kilometers of gorgeous sandy beaches and nice waves, suitable also for the beginning surfers. All the necessary services are available. This is defintely a beach town.
This is defintely a beach town. I was there in the "off season", although my visit spanned New Year's Eve and there were a lot of day-trippers. Not sure I'd enjoy the place as much as I did during peak season. I was lucky to find on-street parking close to my hostel. I would not recommend having a car here in the summer. The place is a 10-minute cycle ride to the beach, and it is a fabulous beach. The bikes are free but pretty crappy bikes. The kitchen facilities are great and there is a large pool.
