Perfect location. Isolated from the touristy places right outside. It was an oasis. I can not imagine staying anywhere else in Pinhao. It made the entire experience special.

Beautiful hotel, great views and even in the pool you can see down to the river and a cross to the vines. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly. The house cat knows how to relax and once here it is easy to join in and chill out. Big underground garage of the road for free parking.

Only accommodation during our trip in Portugal where everything was great. We got there during probably one of the hottest days in the valley and opening the door to find that the air conditioning was on was just great. The house has everything you need, and more, for a comfortable stay. Including some edibles for breakfast and oil/salt/species etc. The location is good, close to where you can park the car for free, just few steps up.

First of all, the staff was very kind. We arrived later in the evening and we stayed there only one night. The receptionist said since we arrived late and couldn't enjoy the possibilities of the quinta, after check-out we can still come back to try the pool or eat a dinner in their restaurant. That felt like a very nice gesture. The quinta itself was really beautiful, the view from our room was perfect the windows looked to the river! The design was amazing, too. Tim's terrace had a great tapas and the breakfast was also amazing!

Really clean and cozy appartement in the middle of Pinhão, most things are within walking distance. Amazing breakfast with all home made cakes and marmelades that tasted amazing. The hostess was really lovely and caring, making scrambled eggs on request for everyone staying. Even though they could not speak English she did everything to bond over breakfast using a translation app, which felt very welcoming. Really new apartment for an unbelievable price. Would definitely recommend booking when visiting the Douro valley!

    Quaint little town on the Doura Valley. It's built on a fairly steep hill, so bring your walking shoes! Good choice of restaurants (although check opening times). Lots of river based attractions (cruises) along with wine (port) tasting. If you don't like port or watery things avoid.

    The town is busy during the day with tourists but quiet in the evening. The town is a bit shabby but very pleasant. The restaurants finish serving meals in the evening very early. The food in the restaurants was wholesome with large portions

    Take the train from Porto, relax and enjoy the view along the way. Pinhão is a laid back 'Village' in the stunningly beautiful Douro Valley. I have been before and it hasn't lost its charm. Pinhão provides convenient access to Port Lodges in the vicinity without the need for a car for transportation. Safe Home & Hurry Back, that's what I say!

    Douro Tour group was great.

    Douro Tour group was great. Recommend the all day Douro Valley tour with boat ride, lunch, wine and port tastings, vineyard tours. It is an easy walk from Quinta Rosa to Pinhão. On our own, also went to olive oil museum tour which had olive oil and wine tastings overlooking stunning views. Walked back throughthe vineyards.

    I loved the small town feeling but yet everything you need...

    I loved the small town feeling but yet everything you need was right there - supermarket and a great variety of restaurants. I loved the walking and of course the Festival de Foclore was an added bonus. Would love to return for the grape picking season in September- I heard it’s great craic

    Small town/village right on the river.

    Small town/village right on the river. See,s to be the go to destination for boats moving up and down the river. Great central location for vinyards and touring around. Some of the views in the wine valley nearby are truly spectactular. A great place to stay two night as part of a tour.

    Photos don't do it justice. The view is beautiful, especially at night along the R Pinhao to the Douro from the many terraces and outside spaces. Plenty of space for 4 or even 6. Spotlessly clean, great to have a fridge of food and homegrown fruit provided plus the most delicious homemade port. Feels very spacious and Monica the owner sent somebody within minutes to fix an issue at the property. Pool is a real bonus. If you so desired you could abseil down to The Bridge - a great restaurant by the river directly below the house!!!

    Close to the centre of Pinhao, the Douro is beautiful. Pedro, the owner, is great, very helpful guy. Have a drink (or two) and a sandwich in his bar Cafe Imperio opposite the station! He gave us some great tips for walks, brought fresh bread everyday to go with the breakfast food in the fridge, and sorted out our washing! Comfy bed too. This is simple comfortable accommodation.

    The Vintage House was in a great location on the river and walking distance to several wineries and restaurants in Pinhão. Parking at the hotel was easy and our room was very comfortable with a fantastic terrace. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace admiring the view of the vineyards and the river while eating.

    Amazing place. The area of the hotel is beautiful. The service was great. Good breakfast. Dinner was also very nice, with great local wine (for additional payment). Bed was super comfortable. 15 min driving from Pinhao.
