We loved Porto, so beautiful and so lively.
We loved Porto, so beautiful and so lively. It seemed to be a nice mix of locals, university students and tourists. The historic area is pretty compact and it is easy to get to all of the sites. The public transportation system was clean and reliable. We took the number 500 bus all the way out to the fish market and beaches in Matosinhos. It was easy to navigate & walk around. We loved both sides of the river & the cafes / restaurants along both sides. The views & the old buildings/ rooftops were beautiful from the many elevated roads & pathways & steps. It was very busy but queues went down quickly. The climate was perfect & such a treat sitting out in the sunshine into early evening.
