Stay away! Our first visit was 21 years ago and we loved it. (We still do.) In my journal on the very last day of our week-long stay back then, I wrote, "We saw our first tourist!" Apart from us, obviously. We visited seven years later and our opinion was similar. Seixal is, in my opinion, the best location to stay in...
Seixal is, in my opinion, the best location to stay in Madeira. The views from the north coast are truly the most beautiful on the island, and waking up to that scenery every day was unforgettable. By chance, we ended up at Miradouro do Infinito, thinking we were heading down to the beach, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip. Seixal is a small village, directly at the sea front. It has a beautiful black beach and several restaurants. There are no big hotels around. There are good walking options. Seixal is gorgeous.
Seixal is gorgeous. We had family stay in resorts on the south side of the island and they regretted their decision after seeing Seixal. Seixal is a nice place to have a stay for 1-2 nights while planning to do a few hikes. It has a fabulous black sand beach and a few nice restaurants/bars and especially the natural pools in which you can swim.Guest review byMLithuania
