From arrival to departure, the quality of service was impeccable. We were greeted by very knowledgeable and polite staff who gave us a tour of the area, followed by welcome drinks at the top of the building's tower. Our room was spacious, comfortable and sunny. The room, and the whole establishment were very clean and there was bottled water available, mostly for free, everywhere. The food at the restaurant was great, and reasonably priced for the type of establishment. The wine and wine tasting were incredible!

I was crying this morning when we left. it is the most beautiful and peaceful place. everything is made respecting nature, animals, the environment. Valter, the owner is just a wonderful man. kind, helpful, explaining his project, reserving restaurants, having time to chat and show you his happy animals. the room was wonderful, not a sound at night, beautiful toiletries, a pool to die for.. and the breakfast is all homemade, with the eggs from the farm, and wonderful Margarida preparing it with love. we will be back, it was too short!!! obrigada Valter! um abraço enorme! Our stay at Assumar Country House in Assumar was absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived, the owners - a lovely married couple -made us feel right at home. They were incredibly friendly, always accessible, and eager to help us discover the wonderful region, which is rich in food and wine experiences. The property itself is stunning. Set amidst the beautiful Alentejo fields, it offers breathtaking views and a refreshing pool that adds to the serene atmosphere. The house, an old historical building, has been tastefully renovated, blending its charming past with modern comforts. Our room was very comfortable, with a spacious bathroom that felt quite luxurious. Interestingly, there was no TV in the room, which we actually appreciated as it encouraged us to fully relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. Served on a lovely terrace with a great view, it featured a variety of fresh fruits, real eggs, delicious pastries, and freshly baked bread. The hosts once again went above and beyond, making our mornings truly special. Leaving Assumar was tough after such a wonderful stay. It felt like saying goodbye to a little piece of paradise. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enriching getaway. It was an amazing experience that we will cherish for a long time. We will definitely be back!
