A lovely hotel in a fabulous setting. Our room was impeccable, and we had a relaxing time at the pool. Breakfast was great, with incredible views down to the coast, and you really get a feeling of being in paradise: the hotel has great plantlife, and there is also an abundance of beautiful birds in the garden. The staff were very kind, and also very helpful with any questions about local attractions.

Loved the architecture & design, felt like we were in the French Riviera. The pool was incredible, flowing in a design around the hotel. Barman created beautiful divine cocktails on the beach. Beach bar is amazing!!! Everyone was exceptionally helpful & so friendly. Even the airport shuttle they arranged was fantastic! We'd definitely stay there again.

    Lots of souvenir shops, interesting port and marina area. Try 'Kid Creole' for some authentic cheap food, obviously with Dodo beer... Plage de L'Ermitage is worth a visit if you have time. ULM ultralight flight is only 30 minutes away, and is a fantastic early morning experience, not to be missed!

    Saint-Gilles les Bains is a working town: attached to a tourist area, yes, but a town nonetheless. The information office has friendly helpful staff to advise you, but you need to choose where to stay according to what you want to do. Reunion has a lot to offer, all in range of Saint-Gilles les Bains but best with a car. On a small island where no journey takes a long time, it is wasteful to be tied to timetables. One thing to bear in mind: Saint-Gilles les Bains is on the side of the island that does not have world records for rainfall.

    The scenery, beaches, and village life. Using local affordable bus routes. You could grab some food anywhere you go and enjoy your day. A lot of nearby places and plages to visit. Avoid too much sun so make sure that hat and light linen clothing is a must.

    An amazing spot in Reunion island if you want to enjoy the beach. My family goes there regularly when traveling to Reunion island. The sunsets, the clear blue waters with corals and a variety of tropical fish, the soft sand and the hot sun, it is dreamy. There are some snack bars close the beach to enjoy traditional creole food or a quick sandwich, with a dodo beer or a cocktail. Very nice vacation area!

    The grounds and the setting for one. Nice pool, even nicer and cozier dining area but you need to leave aside the noise coming from the hidden from view but still busy road leading to Saint-Gilles, said noise is loud enough to cover that of the waves of the little beach. You got an alternative: Hit the roads yourself all day (the road is not as busy at night) or bring some earplugs! The hotel owner’s warm welcome as big as his whiskers! Yummy pastries baked by the owner’s wife.

    - Very kind and well-mannered receptionist, thank you Nicolas! - Yummy Thai food you positively must order when arriving and enjoy in your room or in the dining area by the pool. To tell you the truth, I’d come back anytime (if I could!) for the shrimp soup only! Avoid the pricey restaurants in Saint-Gilles if you’re a guest at Coco Island Hôtel! - Nice, quiet and cosy grounds inhabited by three rabbits

Good central location and very near the only protected place to swim for miles (shark infested waters) - not being able to swim in the ocean on an island holiday bit of a let down. Though nothing to do with the hotel - which was great. Basic facilities but they all worked just as required ie bedroom shower was great for example. What more do you need.

    We couldn’t have dreamt of a better start to our Reunion stay: Pascal, the owner, welcomed us very warmly and gave us lots of great tips for our trip. The double glazing in our bedroom was also very appreciated.
