There are 2 main attractions in the area, Creasta Cocosului...
There are 2 main attractions in the area, Creasta Cocosului and Lacul Albastru. The hiking trail to Creasta Cocosului is amazing. It's about 4-6 hours, 12 km round-trip, passing through forests, meadows and at the end climbing a peak from where you can see all the mountains in the area. The first 5 km are easy to do, mostly walking on flat surface, while the last km is more difficult, climbing continuously until you reach the peak. Access to the hiking trail can be done on a very winding road, but very well built, and there is also a large parking area right at the start of the trail (opposite Hanul Tentea-Pasul Gutai, that offers accommodation and really great food). Lacul Albastru is also a great attraction, there is a parking area right at the start of the trail. From there, you have to climb for 10-15 minutes to reach the lake, which has a very beautiful color in the summer.Guest review byDanielaTravelsRomania
