Very stylish hotel from an era. Great stuff, girl from reception desk helped us with many things, especially to switch the room and waiters from restaurant were super friendly! (Greetings to Andrei and Maria!). Beds were very comfortable. It was very nicely heated in the hotel, since outside the temperature dropped to minus. All in all, we are very satisfied with the hotel!

It is the city were I was born, so for sure I can recomand it, you have lots to do, lots to visit. A unique Museum for Coal Miner is open all year round, an exceptional Theatre and a nice cinema are also present; Access to Parang mountain resort is possible via the 2 chairlifts, or by car in spring and summer; You can also do windsailing, rafting, and lots and lots of walks; In summer several swimming pools are open, as well as night clubs

My review is about Parang, because Ayana is situated at the bottom of Parang, near the old chairlift. Parang is quite rundown. I hope that now they will began investing, after the road was finished. We only ate at Ayana. We liked the view from the mountain, but if you don't have a car, and the chairlift doesn't work, it is quite a long trip...

Very poor management of this great nature jewel. The transportation systems are all separated and with manual check-ins / check-outs, everything is "cash only", no ATM-s, no stores in touristic area. The train station is sad and unwelcoming, no information about anything. Wild place, indeed, what a pity it is inhabited...

Petrosani, as all the other former minning cities from the...

Petrosani, as all the other former minning cities from the area, looks depressing. Fortunately, not far away there is the National Park Retezat, the aurochs reserve and the skiing resort Straja. Unfortunately, none of the above is being managed in such a way to provide a high level of satisfaction for potential tourists. Such a pity :)

The communication with Diana was perfect. Everything was well timed and if we had questions about the apartment or anything else, we got helpful and forthcoming answers. The flat was really clean and we even good some goodys at our arrival. During our stay we could always ask for advice regarding our trip and we got some really nice suggestions what we should do in and around petrosani. Diana and her mum were very very kind and friendly and made our trip an unique experience. We highly recommend to book your stay here.:)

The hotel is in need of major renovation and better maintenance. We experienced issues with the shower, and the walls and ceiling appeared old and unclean. The furniture in our room was mismatched and showed signs of multiple repairs. However, the property is situated in a great location, right next to the chairlift station. It's convenient to have an on-site restaurant with the option to order food, as there are no other nearby dining options. The breakfast is quite simple but sufficient for a short stay of one or two days.

The location is relatively central, the WiFi was working well, the room was very spacious, and the breakfast was well-assorted, with good coffee. The Belle Epoque is somewhat like a theme hotel: it was a theater in earlier times, and much decor and equipment carrying over from that former period is affectionately preserved and exhibited. For a place like Petrosani the Belle Epoque offers fairly tasteful and advanced accommodation.

The location- in the mountains surrounded by forests and nature. Generous parking space. Near to the city. Good restaurant for lunch and dinner. Also perfect for larger groups of people. We had all the family members living in Petrosani over for dinner. The staff in the restaurant was very nice and professional.
