I cannot even express the gratitude I have for people and this place! They went above and beyond, do not hesitate to stay here, dont bother looking anywhere else, this is the place to stay, the rooms are immaculate, they washed our clothes, prepared our food which tasted phenomenal, I dream about the tilapia! They went all out for my husbands birthday, arranged for halal meat! Wow! Couldn't believe it! Best hotel ive ever stayed in, truly and I have travelled the world, they even organised our tour for the national park, exceptional! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone! Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart!

We had an amazing time at Ihema Lodges! This place far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived until check-out we felt truly looked after. The rooms were clean and comfortable with nice details throughout. Enjoying dinner with a beautiful backdrop of the lake was a highlight in itself. The staff was very helpful and flexible and made preparing for our safari in Akagera National Park a breeze. We already miss the tranquility and calm of Ihema and will be sure to return soon. Big thank you to the staff for creating such a memorable stay!

During our Safari trip in Akagera National Park, the lodge’s commitment to excellent service continued. They made sure we had everything we needed for a memorable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from the lodge. It provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation after our safari excursions. The lodge also organized our transport from Rwanda to my home village in Tanzania, which was handled flawlessly. Overall, Akagera Transit Lodge offers a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This place is in incredible. The staff do so much to make you feel so comfortable as soon as you pull up. We were greeted so warmly and Petite took us for an awesome stroll around the village and to see the sunset. We also had an opportunity to talk to the owners about some of the amazing work they do with the community and to meet some of the children they support. On top of all of that, the food and customer service was absolutely superb! Do yourself a favour and stop here to meet the staff! They have a coffee shop and awesome little bar too. Gorgeous property, a really unique experience. They organised a boat trip for us, went kayaking, had massages and relaxed enjoying the river view. It was amazing and one of our favourite hotels we've stayed at to date.
