    Staying here for five days in summer was just as relaxing...

    Staying here for five days in summer was just as relaxing and peaceful as we had hoped. The hosts are wonderful; they showed us to a small private lake we enjoyed, with a small dock and BBQ grill which almost no one knows about. The cottage has five rooms, plus a large kitchen and a bathroom. Our family of four fit nicely and it felt spacious. The place isn't super-modern or recently renovated, which we thought was good, as anything too polished would have felt strange in that bucolic environment. The big dining room table was great for playing games together. They have many charming animals on their small farm; our kids loved seeing the rabbits and the goats, etc. The only negative about the animals is that they have a bunch of roosters which crow all day long, although it wasn't too loud from inside the cottage because they don't wander around freely; they are inside the barn. The sound pretty-much just faded into background noise. There are two porches on the cottage which provided a lovely way to sit outside and read even when it was raining. Walking in the area was great; just step outside the door and you're in farmland; walk about 400 meters and you're in the forest. There are several small towns a short drive away, so getting groceries and going to restaurants was easy and pleasant.
