The booking process was efficient. The room was clean and comfortable, and nothing was missing. The hotel is in a fantastic location, very close to the Croatian border, which suited us perfectly.The coffee was delicious. We will definitely be back

The apartment is very new and has been lovingly created with great attention to detail; from traditional window frames which form part of the banisters, to the beautiful wooden floors and the wood-burning oven. The apartment is well-equipped, towels and bedding are provided and if we needed anything else then we only had to ask and our host provided it immediately. We were given fresh milk, apples, coffee and sweets upon arrival which we much appreciated! The apartment is located above the pizzeria and if you order the delicious pizzas everything is brought up to your terrace (including cutlery, plates and sauces) and you can eat in your own little space whilst listening to the owls call. We ate all our meals on the terrace with beautiful views over the rolling countryside, the lake beyond the trees and the mountains in the distance. Markovci is a sweet little town, with two shops, a pharmacy and an amazing ice cream shop! The village is just a few minutes walk from the lake and a stunning nature reserve. The gorgeous town of Ptuj is just a short drive away and well worth a visit (or two). It is true that the walls are a little thin and you can hear the apartment next door. But this wasn’t a problem as they got up and went to bed about the same time as we did. The apartment had air conditioning which was excellent during the summer heat. All in all we loved our stay, we felt very welcome and were impressed by our host, the apartment, the village and indeed Slovenia as a whole. We would love to come again, thank you for a lovely stay!

Excellent suburbs-like location that's close to larger cities, excellent restaurants and pubs etc. The house itself is beautiful all-around, and sits on a huge, well-kept property full of trees that give shade on hot summer days. Simona, the host, was awesome! :)

A very pleasant stay in the heart of a historic town. The hotel exceeded our expectations – from the beginning, the staff was kind and attentive, taking great care of us throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, varied, and high-quality. The room was air-conditioned, with a comfortable non-separated double bed and a modern, clean bathroom – truly comfortable and well-maintained. A big highlight was the private wellness area, which offers complete privacy and peace for relaxation. For €25 per person for 2.5 hours, you get access to two saunas, a jacuzzi, and a cozy relaxation zone. We thoroughly enjoyed it – a perfect way to unwind. The location is great, just a short walk from landmarks like Ptuj Castle and the town center. Even during the peak season, we had no issues with parking – the hotel provides several parking spots right in front. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation with excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere.

I highly recommend this place. The gentleman at the front desk is very nice and helpful. He helped us even though we arrived late and got the reservation date wrong, nothing is impossible for him.

Host is fantastic, a genuinely friendly and forthcoming person, always ready to be of help. There are 2 massages chairs available for free, which we really appreciated after traveling in the car for 7 hours. We are definitely going to stay at Sobe Proštija whenever we find ourselves in Slovenia.
