Located in a historic building in the quaint historic centre of Stara Lesna, the apartment is very cosy and nicely decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It features a small enclosed garden with a roofed terrace and grill. The host is very friendly, he helped us plan our hike in the Tatras. There is free public parking on a small street next to the apartment. A local supermarket is a 5-min walk away and opens at 6:30 a.m. There is a bus stop right in front of the house and Stara Lesna train station is within a walking distance.

We really liked the terrace. We could admire the Tatra mountains from here. A well furnished apartment, very clean with a private parking right in front of the entrance. The contact with the owner was very good, responsive to any problem, she always gave us useful advice. I hope we will come back again.

This accommodation exceeded all expectations! ✨ It was spotlessly clean, fully equipped, and everything inside was brand new and modern. The apartment is on two levels, with a spacious living room and a fully equipped American-style kitchen. Honestly, it had more details than any rental we’ve stayed in before – a Nespresso machine with capsules, paper towels, and every single item in perfect, new condition. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with toilets, all furnished to a more-than-modern standard. The place is absolutely ideal for a family or a group of friends. On top of that, guests get 30% off wellness and spa services at the hotel next door – such a great bonus! The building also has private parking, with one reserved space for this apartment. The location is perfect: supermarkets and restaurants are just 5–7 minutes by car, and you can reach nearby villages in 15–20 minutes on foot. With its mountain view, private yard, and all-around comfort, this is truly the best accommodation for a holiday, whether you’re into relaxing, hiking, or skiing. Everything was just perfect!

    It's a close village next to High Tatras, the main purpose of this village is to offer cheaper accommodation for people wanting to visit the national park. The village also has some nice restaurants nearby and a mini train station that connects to nearby villages like Stary Smokovec or Tatranska Lominica from where you can go to the entirety of the national park. I would say that the mini train station is quite far away by foot especially the more south you go in the village. There is some buses around the village that are supposed to connect to the other villages in Tatras, though I've never personally used them.

    Stará Lesná is a quiet and pleasant village, just 3–4 km from the mountains. It has a nearby train station and a few good restaurants. The closest larger grocery store is in Veľká Lomnica, around 4 km away. A great base for exploring the area.

    The cabin is clean, with attention to detail.

    The cabin is clean, with attention to detail. The owners are friendly and easy to contact when necessary. There are more than enough rooms for a small family or even a few couples. There are good facilities in the cabin. We could order food on the Bistro app, but the driver struggled to find the cabin. The "yard" is spacious and has nice facilities. The nearest "popular" towns and shops are about 15 - 30 minutes drive away. It's a great place to stay if you want to spend time at the cabin and not see too many sites (without driving) They should look into replacing the living room light, as any person taller than 1.8m will bump their head a few times. A vibrating noise comes from the external camera, which disturbs bedtime.

    Our stay at Stará Lesná was fantastic!

    Our stay at Stará Lesná was fantastic! The owners were incredibly helpful, and kind and helped us get the most out of our trip. The rooms were spotless and we had the most incredible view from our balcony. Breakfast was tasty and varied and the dining room was again spotless and airy. The hotel is located minutes away from all the hikes we did and there are a few good restaurants within walking distance. It was an active but wonderfully peaceful trip and I can't wait to visit again. Dakujem!!

    Not much to see, as it’s in the middle of the fields.

    Not much to see, as it’s in the middle of the fields. In this area, there are many local residents (Romani people) with freely roaming dogs who constantly circle around and observe who is where."

    Great location to go off exploring.

    Great location to go off exploring. Nearby lakes and nice ski resorts- we didn't ski, but used the restaurants and bars, which were really nice. Restaurant called Spitz - was great, highly recommend it, address was Stary Smokovec 62.

    Nice, clean accommodation, near the High Tatras, about 5 km from the Stará Lesna train stop. The house is at the end of the village in a development of dozens of the same houses. The spacious house has an equipped kitchen, a living room, three bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower, 2 toilets, a closet. Outside seating and stone grill. Unfortunately, we lacked, for example, a broom and shovel, or equipment for the fireplace, the outdoor seating is in the sun all day. The photos correspond to reality.

    The apartment Highland Stará Lesná exceeded my expectations. The kitchenette was fully equipped with everything I needed, making cooking convenient and enjoyable. The space was very clean, spacious, and airy, with excellent ventilation that made the stay comfortable.     Location with beautiful view on the Tatry mountains. Breakfast and dinners were very tasty and diverse. I like a lot the traditional dishes. Tea set at the room. Clean and modern bathrooms. The majority of the staff in the restaurant, especially lady in short black hair (hotel manager?) - respect for engagement and energy. Security guys on the wellness - very professional, working hard and very nice.
