    Beautiful area.

    Beautiful area. Need transport to get around as places are far apart. Not suitable for walking. Very easy to rent a scooter. Khanom is more suitable for tourists than Sichon beach which is very small. Sichon town is great. More restaurants and cafes in Khanon Beach area than Sichon Beach area

    Khanom is very quiet.

    Khanom is very quiet. Suitable only for people that don t want nightlife. Very few independent restaurants to eat in khanom apart from their resort. It s not a beach resort per se such as Koh samui or any other island. It s a laid back spread out beach with a few hotels along it with nothing much else.

    We stopped here on our return journey home to Bangkok airport. The nicest coastal road for driving for scenery between khanom and sichon. Pick a hotel around the south of the bay for less rubbish on the beach. Having an elevated view is lovely for dining experience. The beaches could be lovely but sadly all the beaches had too much rubbish and plastic. I’ve never seen it so bad in Thailand. That’s probably why it isn’t really touristy here. It’s the quietest place we visited.

    If you love beaches, and want to see how Samui was 50 years...

    If you love beaches, and want to see how Samui was 50 years ago, as far as beaches go, that's the place. No construction (yet), very spaced, green mountains all around (with no houses on them), etc. and very close to Samui and Phangan (30 minutes drive from Donsak Pier)

    See earlier comments. You can tell by the length of this reply we were very impressed with this hotel. BTW - I saw a pink dolphin near Donesk Pier so keep your eyes peeled if you are taking the ferry.

    Beaches outside hotels are kept clean but else where lots of rubbish on the beach. Fantastic quirky view point above the town. Good Saturday night market. Very scenic road running along coast towards Sichon.

    The host Toy is just lovely and made our stay worthwile. Actually we came to Khanom to see the pink dolphins, but have not been lucky on our tour. Still our stay was fun, mostly because Toy was so sweet, helpful and welcoming. We were not able to drive a scooter, so she and her friend even took us to the city and the beach. She also arranged a driver for us who took us wherever we needed to go. Everything we needed was provided. A sweet dog and some cats are also around and fun to pet. Thank you so much again Toy and all the best to you!

    We loved our stay at Luxtalay hotel! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, with nice terrace and an amazing view. We had 24/7 support from reception via WhatsApp. Cleaning of the rooms is very thorough. Sun beds are super comfortable. The hotel area is very cozy and high standard. Free of charge mini bar and bikes are a nice add on! The beach is really nice and there are a few nice cafes in walking distance by the beach. We wish we could stay longer, this was one of the best vacations we have ever had!

    We stayed at this cosy camp ground for two weeks during our travels through Thailand. The location is absolutely stunning, right at the ocean with lots of nice restaurants, bars and convenience stores nearby. The staff was so lovely and happy to help us with everything we needed, we are really thankful! If you are looking for a peaceful, not so touristy stay, this is perfect for you!
