The staff were lovely, especially Emma. The lady who checked us in (wish I remembered her name) gave us a bunch of great island-hopping recommendations that came in really handy. The room was super clean, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom had all the essentials. Breakfast and room service were both great. The air conditioning and safe worked without any issues. We also really appreciated the free shuttle that ran at different times during the day as it made getting around so much easier. All in all, we had a great experience and would recommend them 100%!

The design of hotel room with Private pool ,though we don't have many time to use it. The breakfast from east to west with full varieties and delicious taste really was impressed. Room is very clean and staffs very friendly. Highly recommended.

Brilliant stay! We would be more than happy to be back here. The room was super clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even offered us breakfast which was a nice surprise. The location is also good although renting a scooter is recommended.

The staff are nice especially the older lady in specs was super friendly and nice. Room was clean and great for the price. There's balcony, water heater, fridge, basic toiletries(not toothbrush/toothpaste), comfy bed, kettle and 2 cups, 2 bottled water, tv not much channel but who watch tv on a trip right? You got to leave your shoes at the lobby or at least carry it until you are at the main entrance below because cant walk around in shoes/sandals in the hotel. But floor is clean dont worry. There's halal food nearby and a mosque nearby to call out for prayer time. So that's a good spot for muslim people. Ao nang beach is about 5-10mins drive? Bolt car works better in krabi than grab car. Didnt get any luck on grab/bolt bike like in bangkok.

The place is super clean. The pool is very refreshing and has a great view. The apartment has a separate bedroom with an ac unit which is amazing. The lodge is really new. The owners of the property are lovely people. The lodge is located away from the craziness of Ao nang and you can reach the beach by walking, around 20min. You only hear the noises of nature, ideal place to rest or work (the internet is really fast). We wish we could have stayed longer. If we are ever back in that area we will definitely stay there again.

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the...

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the islands do not recommend you go this time of the year. As three single travellers there were very few bars, lots of restaurants that sold alcohol but no bars you could sit at and have a chat only found four and three of those were a good 30min walk from the centre. Ao Nang seems to have changed a lot over the years and has lost a lot of it's character as it is now catering more for families, which is not a all bad if that is what you are looking for but comparing it with Hua Hin, or Koh Samui, it just doesn't.

    All restaurants and activities were near by or a short ride with a scooter. KoDam restaurant serves great Thai dishes and the same restaurant by the sea has a great view with the same prices as the one in Ao Nang.

    The strip of sand is overlooked by a busy road and shops. Very little shelter from the sun and on-shore winds whip up waves and churn the water to a very unappealing colour. Plenty of bars and places to eat locally - but very few truly "Thai" owned/run. LOTS of Indian restaurants! Ao Nang beach is a beach from which you depart to visit much nicer places!!

    There were many sightseeing opportunities I was unable to...

    There were many sightseeing opportunities I was unable to access due to my Muay Thai training event. If I return, I will pursue these options. The beach was near countless stores and restaurants. There are plenty of people to meet and things to do. I would revisit if given a second chance.

    It's a perfect outing for holidays, honeymoon or for what ever reasons. Can choose from high end hotels, or budget one. People around are friendly and helpful. Foods hunting are heaven, cheap seafood at night market any restaurants. Don't miss jumpa to island executions that you won't regards it

    The actual beach was not great for swimming.

    The actual beach was not great for swimming. At high tide there was very little sand to walk on and the beach was not flat. Water was not very clear, possibly due to grey skies or longboat activity. So Nang has many hotels and resorts either great pools as an alternative. Ao Nang is a great place to visit the Islands, Emerald Lake, hot springs or go kayaking in the mangroves. It is easy to get tuk tuks, taxis and grab cars and bikes all along the beachfront. There was a great selection of Thai, Italian, Indian and Mexican restaurants and lots of bars with extended happy hours. Make sure you have lots of mozzie spray, especially if you go over to Railay beach and walk over to Diamond Cave. We’d recommend paying for a hotel with buffet breakfast if travelling with teenagers as the food is great and tends to set you up an early dinner time. If you have children I’d recommend Ananta Burin hotel as it has several pools, one with a water slide and pool bar so the young ones and adults are easily entertained.

    it was clean and nicely designed hotel. it is not beach front and the closest beach was 5-10 mins walking distance. however the beach was not good at all, meaning it was a bit dirty (some parts were smelling very bad) and right next to a road (we stayed there in April. so maybe it is nicer in other months). hotel has a nice jungle concept. we liked that it was not beach front but a bit far away from it because we could avoid the bad smell from the sea. the hotel itself was clean and nice, feeling like right in the nature. good option in Krabi.

    This is a lovely resort in Krabi and good value for the price paid. I particularly liked the pool bar area, which is nicely set up and never felt too busy (e.g. always a sunbed available somewhere). The rooftop pool/bar is nice for a sunset drink with a well-timed happy hour! The selection at breakfast was good, and generally good quality. The room was nicely sized, clean, comfortable. Excellent location, close to the beach and a range of bar and restaurant choices

    Vanida really made our stay in Krabi memorable by recommending and reserving some of the best addresses for various activities (scuba diving, elephant sanctuaries and beaches). Breakfast at the villa was very delicious with fruits from the garden as were the drinks from the bar. I highly recommend anyone staying to take a quick stroll through the villa's garden to have a look at the various plants and fruits that are being grown.

    Sea Star House has a number of pluses in that it is cheap by Krabi standards, has a good location close to the beach in the heart of town, the rooms are spacious with wifi provided, and the included breakfast at the adjoining cafe was good. If you are out and about all day, do not want any hotel facilities like a pool, and like the nightlife then this place is perfect.
