Ban Krut is a seaside resort which I’m sure is usually very quiet. We visited for new year so it was full of local Thai families setting up to enjoy new year on the beach - lots of food stalls and great atmosphere - fireworks sat at a table on the beach with beers from local vendor was just perfect! It was a spacious,super clean place with everything you need supplied and catered for. Just a short walk to the beach which was empty and stretching for miles with beautiful soft sand. We were given precise instructions of how to find it and how to gain access. There is a small but well kept garden to sit out in with a coffee or tea. A park-like place with spacious cabins set among the trees. Quirky handmade whirly gigs add to its charm. The owners were lovely and generous with their time. There are washing machines and bicycles available to use. The town is very relaxed, with a large beach front spanning kilometers. There are plenty of delicious food and drink options, 2 x 7-1s and other supermarkets nearby.
