    Its a small but historic town along the Pingxi Train Line...

    Its a small but historic town along the Pingxi Train Line along with the more popular Shifen. Its only a short distance from Taipei. Most people do day trips. I suggest to stay in Pingxi (quiter) or Shifen. The are several stops on this line including the terminal station, Jingtong. Steeped in history and besides the train line, the main 'side show' is releasing lanterns.
