amazing people, amazing interior, best stay during our trip in Zanzibar. next time must have is to take an option with included breakfast, we were sad that we did not choose this option. room nr. 1 was amazing, our best recommendations to our friends and everyone. super location, you can walk for few hours, than come back and go for a walk again, because everything is very close and you do not need to leave the hotel for all day.

Absolutely everything! Stunning spacious room with comfy bed, hot water, a safe, air con, fans, lovely extras in the bathroom eg coffee soap and loofahs, good towels, big bottles of water each day, turn down service - amazing coffee of course, generous breakfast, stunning rooftop fir guests only before 10 and after about 3.., very kind staff

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

Everything was very good : the room was clean, comfortable and furnished with taste. The air conditioning is working perfectly. Specially the people who are working there are very nice and helpful. Marian particularly is very nice. Most of everything, the breakfast is amazing, abundant, very tasteful and you got good choices. The location of the Shoki House is also perfect, you are close from the heart of the city and at the same time close from the ocean front. Very good hotel for the price and for discovering Stone Town.

If I could, I'd give it 10 stars. A cosy hotel in the centre of Stonetown with a great restaurant and a garden with a pool. The hotel staff are helpful and helped us solve every problem. I would recommend and if I return to Zanzibar I will go back to this hotel again.

Tembo is such a beautiful hotel with welcoming staff and clean areas. The rooms were huge, well ventilated and had a lot of mirrors because why not? The bathroom was very clean which was relaxing because we had been flying for long and needed a nice bath. The hotel also has a nice proximity to the airport and other places we wanted to visit in stone town and I definitely recommend it.

Everything. This place was BEAUTIFUL. The decor and feel was amazing, check in and out was easy, good wifi, little balcony, amazing bathroom with good water pressure. I really appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities and the fact that they used refillable products in the bathroom and offered a filtered water to fill jugs/bottles, rather than more plastic. Breakfast was also excellent, as were the staff. The only disappointing thing was that we weren't staying longer.
