    A very pretty small country town, with lovely town centre...

    A very pretty small country town, with lovely town centre and museums and places to see and shops to see. Great food and facilities. Decent architecture, there is a tall tower that must be climbed up... not for the weak or fainthearted. A section of walled fortifications that have been restored and nicely used for tourist shopping. Easy transport and cheap taxis. I used the overnight sleeper train from Kyiv to get there which was superb. A very nice place. easy drive to and from Poland, good gateway place to get to the ski resorts of Bukovel in the Carpathian mountains.

    A beautiful city in western Ukraine that captures the essence and heart of true Ukraine. Beautiful architecture, parks, vyshvyvanky (traditional Ukrainian embrooidery), funky cafes and restaurants alongside traditional cuisine. Very easy to get around on foot and mostly flat.

    I have been traveling to Ukraine as an American for almost 10 years. I-F is one of the most beautiful cities you will ever see there, and it is also a good gateway to the Carpathians (but best you go down and stay in Yaremche and stay there to visit the mountains of Ukraine).

    I LOVE visiting Ivano-Frankivsk, it's a fun city to see and many things to do and you can walk to most of it but there are other ways to get around if you don't want to walk. Due to the rain this time, I didn't walk around as much as I normally would have.

    Unfortunately there's not too much you can see during one-...

    Unfortunately there's not too much you can see during one-day trip but I really liked the city. Had nice breakfast at Urban Space 100, then walked around center and went to the top of Ratusha to see a great view. Then went to Shevchenko park - walked there and also around Mis'ke Lake on another side. Had a wonderful dinner at Devyatka (best Varenyky with mushroom sauce ever!) and then stayed a bit on the corner of the same street listening to two guys playing saxophone and trumpet - really enjoyed it. Had to leave super early next day to catch my train but loved walking back to the railway station while city was still sleeping and there were no people on the streets :)

    The size of the rooms differ, based on availability of the rooms I guess? usually ordered single standard, got very small room, which is okay, sometimes got big room with a double bed which was really nice. Rooms were clean, regurarly cleaned. The hotel is really big, sometimes gets really busy as it serves as a business trips hotel I gues... with conferences and stuff.

    Able to actually check in at 22:59, at least after calling the reception. Very good Englisch language support. Very friendly and helpful reception. Great guarded parking in front of the hotel. Large room, better than advertised/booked.
