A town with such colorful history that it inspired Mark Twain to write about it. The jumping frog annual event since 1928 is delightful. The Visitor’s center is a must see place - well put together and run! I plan to do the museum tour (at only $15) next trip to Angel’s Camp. I saw a movie at the old cinema theatre on Main Street (free refill on large popcorn :) and visited Utica Park where the film industry donated the statue of Mark Twain. The All Hallows Faire was on at the County Fairgrounds which was well done and lots of music, food and fun!

The Calaveras County Fair / Frog Jumping Jubilee was a blast. It was defintiely worth the visit. We missed out on visiting Coyote Creek Cave in Vallecito, and heard that it was a great place so definitely plan to return again.

Excellent place to visit and relax.

Excellent place to visit and relax. Lovely people, so courteous, nice shops, and good food. We loved it. We went to see a play at the Metropolitan in San Andres and it was excellent. I highly recommend it if you are looking for something different to do, it’s a great place to be and visit.

It is a unique town/area.

It is a unique town/area. It is very spread out for a small town. It has a small town feel with people who speak to you and look you in the eye. The mountain area roads are very well maintained and exciting to travel. The roads into this area are very good from the Sacramento region. The highway 4 turns more mountainous as you travel to Arnold. There are two museums that we visited. Oh yes, nearby in Murphys, the Ironstone Vineyard(Concert there is the reason we went in the first place), has a great retail space and serves incredible lunch on Saturdays!

I don't like booking a place under false advertising!

I don't like booking a place under false advertising! Booking.com had this place listed as a free breakfast included- which, I found out was NOT available at all! This is the 3rd or 4th time that I have caught Booking.com in false advertising! That is just wrong! One time their ad said tge place had refrigerators, and they were not available at all. Fortunately I called the property before, and had to cancel and find another place. I shouldn't of had to do that!! They should update their ads, so people know exactly what they are getting!! I will no longer use Booking.com. I would rather call the actual property, and know what I am getting!

I love this facility! It is my happy place. The staff is very friendly and helpful for activities that are going on around in the area. I really like the rooms and can make my own food as well as go out to see what wonderful food is in Angels Camp and Murphys. The bbq is a big hit with all my friends that I have brought to see this location!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was very close to the Angel Camp Museum, which was very interesting and exceeded my expectations.
