Historic downtown Austin is the seat of Texas government, and the seat of fun and entertainment for locals and visitors. Congress Avenue is the main artery through the city centre, leading you to the impressive Texas State Capitol building at the end. Austin is a weird city.

Austin is a weird city. Lots to see and do and that makes it worth the trip, but not my kind of place. Too much traffic, cars and people on bikes, scooters and walking. Parking is a big problem and valet is costly. So happy to return to my quiet country life.

Austin is a place where it has many different types of people who bring their own cultures with them and it makes for a very interesting variety of activities in and around Austin. You can always find something going on. The good thing is you don't have to be involved with any particular culture you can just come as a guest. And I guarantee you will have a great time

Well Austin is Music. When you walk on 6th street, you have every house another Band playing (to loud) live Music. mostly Country. Beerprices are normal, Parking is high priced and strict controlled. Austin is the captital of Texas, so you can visit the Capitol, its free and interesting. In Austin you find every style of music you want.

I get over to Austin once or twice a month and I love the food and attitude of the people there. I love watching the greatest sport ever “Banked track roller derby” and Austin has the best league literally in the world especially for showmanship and vibe. I’m looking to relocate there if that’s any indication of my overall Austin experience. Can’t wait to get back 🤙

A great deal of things to do for a first time visit.

A great deal of things to do for a first time visit. We didnt have a car and did everything on foot or uber when it was too hot. It was too hot sometimes that's for sure. Ate at a variety of places. Guero's, Veracruz Tacos, Terry Blacks, and P. Terrys. Visited the Capitol, and watched the bats come out of the bridge on Congress St's one evening. We were downtown during the day and that was fine.

This hotel was good for the price! Ample parking for no additional cost was a big benefit for a location so close to downtown. Uber to 4th street was only about $15 even at peak times. It’s definitely no frills but it was clean and had the amenities needed for a quick weekend trip. Check in staff was very friendly and helpful!

It exceeded our expectations. It was really great and hard to believe the apartment was so big and clean and comfortable in a great location (near 6th street where everything happens) for the price. The gym was basic but enough for a 3-day stay.

The view from my room of the Colorado River was exceptional. The hotel is well-located downtown and has great amenities onsite, including a bar, roof-top restaurant, pool, and gym.
