FAQs about hotels in Baltimore

Historic & Vibrant Harbor Town

Energetic and complex, Baltimore belongs to the select group of historic cities along the east coast of the United States. Located between Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, it’s the birthplace of the National Anthem. It has a lively nightlife, picturesque neighbourhoods, and modern entertainment areas. Its large number of African American population had an important role during the days of the Civil Rights movements.

Founded in 1729, its strategic location in an arm of the Chesapeake Bay rapidly transformed it into an important trading port. The historical site of Fort McHenry is well known for its role during the War of 1812 with the British Empire.

The city has numerous neighbourhoods that still maintain a quaint atmosphere. Fells Point is famous for its 18th and 19th-century architecture, cobbled streets, typical pubs, and plenty of restaurants. Some of the best inns and hotels in Baltimore are located here, while a more local feeling and great accommodation can also be found in Federal Hill and Midtown.

The Inner Harbor is a lively area where tourists can find modern venues and live concerts. Most Baltimore hotels are located in the Harbor, while the business district has also a wide variety of accommodation.

We didn't get to go out to explore too much, but we did take the opportunity to go down by the harbor. My husband took me to the game for my birthday. He had bought me a birthday balloon. I can't tell you how many happy birthday wishes I received from perfect strangers. I found the people that we ran into were very friendly—they made my day special.

The inner harbor was beautiful, clean and very walkable. We felt safe and saw a security/police presence. Restaurants were wonderful, great seafood and Maryland crabs! The aquarium was very impressive. A lot to do and see and planning on returning.

The price seemed reasonable. The breakfast was not great. Bad coffee, awkward set up, limited selection, not hreat quality. Amenities in the bathroom were scarce. Not a hotel I would equate the Hyatt name with.

It depends on what you go for.

It depends on what you go for. I went to get help from a relative and a realtor to find a house to buy and relocate. They were great. I have school age kids. The rates of the the public schools in Baltimore and the counties don’t match my expectation. I am think about my affordability of private schools to decide. I love the quietness and Baltimore may be a a very good place to leave. my relative and realtor love here, I might.

The host was so responsive to our messages. The house was spotless and super spacious, and we loved playing the board games provided. Towels and bathmats were super soft, and the kitchen was such a great space to cook in. We were on a work trip and usually book hotels but decided to try a house and cook family style. We all felt so comfortable and well rested, couldn’t have been a better host and property for our first trial of booking these sorts of properties for work trips.

Once you're in the hotel, the ambiance is super pleasant 24 hours a day, and the building is very old school and cute. The rooftop bar is adorable, and I liked the cafe a lot too!

The hotel was adequate... well, no it wasn't. It was inadequate. The breakfast was a poorer version of the usual American hotel free breakfast.
