United KingdomI LOVED the Historic Boone Tavern; it was one of the highlights of my three week road trip around some of the (for UK visitors anyway) less visited parts of the US. The place was impeccably clean, staff were very friendly and professional (including some young people for whom working at the hotel is part of their studies), the location (in the centre of town) was great and the hotel has a really nice vibe. I got a bit of a shock to discover that Berea is in a 'dry' county, but fortunately that didn't apply to guests at the hotel. I'd have liked to stay for a second night but (unsurprisingly, I guess) the hotel was full to the rafters so I was compelled to move on.

Berea, KY is a beautiful small town, with friendly people, nice selection of restaurants, pretty downtown, and the lovely Berea College Campus. If you like hiking, which is what we did, The Pinnacles have great trails and the views are awe-inspiring, a true must see place! We ate Kentucky Fried Chicken, of course, The Cracker Barrel, and the nice down-home Dinner Bell Restaurant. Not to sound cliche, but we truly liked everything about ouraccomodations, the city, and the surrounding countryside! It was our first visit to the srea and we weren't sure of what to expect. Our experience was truly excellent! The campus, Boone Tavern, adjacent shops, Old Town Shops and Railroad Station were our "haunts." We were able take relaxing walks and visit with artisans, and workers. People were friendly and made us feel welcome!Guest review byJohn - 10.0
