Great little town with a variety of restaurants.
Great little town with a variety of restaurants. Didn't like having to pay to park anywhere near the shops and restaurants on King Street. The Peddler steakhouse was delicious and traffic was very light all weekend. The foggy mountain gem mine was fun sifting through the soil to find gems. Found some really cool stuff and the staff actually takes time to sort through your entire bag to explain what you found. Getting around Boone is fine. Sometimes Rt 105 can be congested. We ate at The Red Onion and Wendys. We love the shops and park at Blowing Rock. Boone is a very nice town. Having the college there gives an extra bit of fun and energy to the town.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10.0

Boone is the quintessential mountain town especially in the summer. Its full of festivals and fun. (Do check out their awesome farmers market on Saturdays and Boonerang every June) The rest of the year it becomes a thriving college town, with plenty to do. Wonderful time. Beautiful scenery and great local resturants. Make sure to take time and walk around downtown Boone. Visit the campus of Appalachian State University.
