Cape Coral has very little traffic and it’s really easy to get around. We were close to a large variety of restaurants that we could walk to and we chose a Mexican restaurant that was just a couple of blocks from the hotel. OK, now that I've been there...Cape Coral seems to be just a suburb of Ft. Myers, with most of the stuff you want to do in Ft. Myers. Or in other words, Cape Coral is a nice place to sleep after spending the day doing touristy things in Ft. Myers. Come to find out this area used to be called just "the other side" as it was leftover land from the build-up of Ft. Myers. When you look at it that way, Cape Coral makes sense. I would not go to Cape Coral for vacation. I went there to visit family that had re-located there. I think it might be a nice place to live. We were able to collect our key from the locker as we arrived a little late. There is a great tiki bar that was adjacent our room and a nice pool. We met the owners in the morning who were very pleasant and very welcoming. A short drive and you can find all the shops that you could need on Cape Coral Parkway. The best smelling reception area ever! Brilliant staff (chap had the best nails, made the wife envious) , free parking, swimming pool, very large room, comfy beds, plenty of tea and coffee making stuff although there are pots of it at reception as well , excellent breakfast, spotless throughout.
