We loved that inn. Nice atmosphere, comfortable room, big swimming pool open long hours, fantastic breakfast with cottage cheese and peaches on top of regular food. Guest laundry makes a good addition.

I highly recommend this place. Location is perfect and away from the hustle and bustle of the university area. Wawa was closed by and is 24hrs open. Hotel looks new and the rooms, bed, toilet and facilities smells and looks clean. Breakfast was plenty from 6-10am. Eggs, sausages, potatoes, gravy and pancakes. Ive been to other hotels and Holiday Inn is by far the best ive been to. Staff were friendly, Tina, who kept the breakfast area tidy and topped up. Plenty of parking as too. Well done!

    The Mall was great!

The Mall was great! I love how it's closed off to car traffic and you can just stroll in comfort. Many, many shops of many, many different tastes. Great variety. Very active nightlife (well, it IS a college town!). Traffic is very congested, so just be mindful of that. I appreciate the history and options of places to go and things to do. I enjoy the mountain and tree views.

We only spent the weekend, but it was an amazing time.

We only spent the weekend, but it was an amazing time. Primary purpose of the trip was a visit to Monticello, for which I've been waiting many years. But while here, we ate out a lot and did a fair amount of driving around. The restaurants we visited (Bad Luck Ramen, The Virginian, Public Fish & Oyster) were fantastic! The UVA campus is beautiful. The Saunders-Monticello Trail up the mountain is a great walk / hike. Carter Mountain Orchard was also really nice. And of course Monticello visit was AMAZING. From the time we spent here and what we saw driving around, the town seems alive and thriving, culturally active, the historical aspect is deep. I think Charlottesville will warrant another visit!

I was visiting relatives so my stay was fine.

I was visiting relatives so my stay was fine. The area is lovely and there's lots to do, especially if you're interested in American history. I have visited many times and hit most of the tourist spots and toured the campus.

    Charlottesville has beautiful weather, architecture,...

Charlottesville has beautiful weather, architecture, landscapes, and history all set against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is home to our nation's third President, Thomas Jefferson, who resided upon a mountaintop at Monticello. It is also most known for the University of Virginia which Mr. Jefferson designed and built as an academical village. It is my alma mater and I bask in memories of its beauty, beautiful lawns and gardens, and its equestrian focus, including Foxfield steeple chases.

If you've never been to Charlottesville, be prepared for problematic navigation of the streets when traveling by car, especially if you're unfamiliar with the geography of the area. The hotel may be on Main Street, but that address needs to taken with a grain of salt w/respect to restaurants, shops, bars, etc. How about providing travelers with ideas about where to shop, get spa treatments, coffee bars, and restaurants? Lastly, don't forget that Charlottesville is a university town filled with students of all ages.

    Loved seeing Montecello.

Loved seeing Montecello. Glad we did the Behind the Scenes Tour and the Slavery Tour. Both tour guides were excellent. We also took a short trip over to see part of UVA which is beautiful. We had dinner one night at the Local Restaurant (Local is the name of the restaurant) which was excellent. We also took a walk through Market Street downtown. It was find during late afternoon, but not a lot to see and do.

The staff were nice and the lobby and room was clean and comfortable. For the price we expected cable tv or a smart tv which they didn't have. The hotel was a lot of money for what they had. The pool Was very small and so heavily chlorinated we couldnt use it comfortably.

Gorgeous renovation with great style and attention to detail - a really luxurious, well-curated space. The photos don’t do it justice - it is even better in real life. Perfect secluded location but close to Charlottesville, Montpellier and wineries.

A good hotel to stay in whilst visiting the area. We used the fitness centre, pool and jacuzzi which were an added bonus. A good buffet breakfast with plenty of seating.
