Clayton is amazing!
Clayton is amazing! We only wished that more of the restaurants and coffee shops would’ve been open during the morning hours. Many of them did not open until 4 PM. It did not give us many options for lunch. I was really sad to see that the Christmas store closed! :-(. I will be back to Clayton next year, though! Clayton is a nice, clean little village with plenty to do. Bella's has the best breakfast ! We ate lunch at the Shipwrek right on the river. Clayton is a cute town right on the St. Lawrence River. There are a few restaurants to choose from, coffee shop, gift shops and a nice place to sit and enjoy the river. Just outside of town, you can catch a boat tour of the area. There are several different tours to choose from. Clayton is located between Cape Vincent and Alexandria Bay. Clayton is a clean town which is very walkable.
Clayton is a clean town which is very walkable. There are numerous shops and restaurants along the St. Lawrence River. We chose to eat at the Channelside Restaurant the first night of our stay because it had a great river view. The food was excellent and it was a casual place. The next night, we ate at the Seaway Grill in the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel, which is where we were staying. The view was nice there, the service was great, and our meals were outstanding. We also had breakfast there the following morning. Those meals were excellent too. Their portions are huge. We both had leftovers to enjoy at home!Guest review byDonnaUnited States
