Franklin is a very small town that smells awful. The gas is way too high for it to be an important manufacturing paper town.
There is an awesome spot near the factory you can go and park and walk up the hill to this Japanese gazebo. The best Mexican food is also there near Walmart it’s called El Ranchero.
Also downtown has some great spots also.

We needed a place to sleep to break up a long drive. It was about an hour away from the airport and cheaper than driving closer to our destination. Beds were comfortable and pillows were better than some budget motels where you only get half a pillow. there were 3 normal sized pillows on each full sized bed.
1st time in Franklin, VA. Too country for my taste but the service and facility was smooth and professional. Standard king room was very clean. Basic amenities. Quiet stay. Pleasantly surprised since there are really only 3 hotels in the immediate area. I would stay again for a short stay.
