My favorite aspect of Galveston is the history.

My favorite aspect of Galveston is the history. I loved looking at the architecture of old houses and buildings and learning about the building and rebuilding after the 1900 hurricane. We walked a lot through neighborhoods just to look at houses and a variety of beautiful plants. The Bryan Museum, a former orphanage, is beautiful as are the grounds.

I was incredibly lucky during my Galveston trip to experience something truly rare: the beaches were super clear and blue! Visiting in September was an amazing decision, as it's outside the high vacation season, making it the perfect time to enjoy all that Galveston has to offer.

Most of island was clean, beaches were really beautiful and water was clean!! Still lots of homeless people roaming around and looking suspicious 🤔,wouldn't leave anything in back of truck or anything that people can see through windows.

In September & October, the water is blue.

In September & October, the water is blue. There are alot of good restaurants around and hotels. If you like to fish, you have your choice of some great baitshops. Blvd Seafood on the Seawall is a great place to eat & Rudy & Pico has really good lunch specials. Maceos also has really good lunches. The island has alot of transportation, such as trolleys, uber & lyft. Because Galveston is a island, you will see homeless people. During events, there are alot of people having a good time, but it's best to uber or lyft.

We don't live in Galveston but have lived nearby our whole lives. We tend to take it for granted. Of course there are more beautiful beaches, but Galveston is full of a lifetime of memories for us, so we love it. After school starts, it's a perfect place to spend a weekend. Full of southern charm and stories about pirates and wiseguys, it's a fun place to get to know BOTIs (born on the island) and newcomers. Not to mention the great seafood and fishing. And our beloved dreadnought, The Battleship Texas, BB35, will be permanently moored there next year. Something for everyone.

Galveston is a fun place to visit.

Galveston is a fun place to visit. Its a short drive to the Ferry to Bolivar and Crystal beach. There are several good restaurants to choose from. The only downfall is that you have to pay to park along the seawall. We ate at the Golden coral and although it is a small one compared to others the variety was still good.

The location is good, and the staff were were helpful letting us leave our luggage all day after checking out and kept it safe. Hotel is right near sea wall and pleasure pier, also plenty of places to go and eat nearby. The rooms are renovated and have everything you need and are a decent size.

This is a very good hotel in a convenient location to most all of Galveston Island. The staff was courteous & helpful and the room was more than comfortable enough for my family. They have a business center and a fitness work-out room. The "free breakfast" was also an added bonus to our stay.
