The parking lot is well lit, yet the exterior doors are not locked. There are many options for fast-food within walking distance. There is a Walmart, grocery store, and gas station nearby. Onlty problem was getting there as our GPS did not pick it up but took us to the La Quinta at the airport as the only La Quinta in South Bend. Excellent hotel though.
