    I grew up in Ashtabula area.

    I grew up in Ashtabula area. Stayed here this weekend for my sister 50th birthday. Harpersfield Covered bridge is just down the street where you can fish, check out the view or havea picnic. Straight down 534 is a cute little popular ice cream shop with great ice cream and plenty to choose from. You have many wineries in the area and Geneva on the lake strip with a lot of entertainment and wonderful food!! A short distance from the area is Ashtabula Harbor with Walnut Beach or Lakeshore Park. There are a lot of things to see and do!

    For wine aficionados, this is the place.

    For wine aficionados, this is the place. Sunsets over Lake Erie are an excellent way to end the day. The Warner- Concord Farms B&B was a wonderful place to stay. Food and wine at the Old Mill winery was very good.

    We really enjoyed the restaurants in the area.

    We really enjoyed the restaurants in the area. We had italian at Piero's Pasta House. It was very good! Also ordered pizza at Zeppe's which we really enjoyed as well. Had donuts from Madsen - very yummy and had breakfast at Mary's Kitchen. Everything was very good. We also did a wine tour. We booked the bus tour and was able to see 3 wineries. If we had more time, we would have taken a boat ride, but time didn't allow for anything more. It was a nice get away with my husband.

    I liked Geneva.

    I liked Geneva. It was easy to get around and had easy access to Lake Erie and the friends we were visiting. We ate at the Covered Bridge Pizza which was not far from Geneva and would definitely go back. We ate at Mary's Diner, and unless I was going to get a salad, I would not go back. The server was not that friendly and the helpings of the other food was not worth the amount we had to pay. I would avoid Motel 6 next time.
