Gonzales is a charming town.
Gonzales is a charming town. I was a vendor at the Come and Take It celebration, and would highly recommend Gonzales as a destination for anyone interested in Texas history. The Chamber of Commerce is very helpful and provides recommendations for travelers based on their interest. The Jail Museum Director was also helpful and is very knowledgeable about the area. The Come and Take It Celebration was a great event, and had activities to meet everyone’s interest!!Guest review bySandraUnited States - 8.0
Wonderful town, typical of south central Texas.
Wonderful town, typical of south central Texas. My favorite restaurants were the Stock Yard (especially for breakfast) and a delightful TexMex restaurant in town center. The mariachi music on Friday evening was a pleasant surprise. Love this town!!Guest review byDavidUnited States

The pool says it's open but the owner hoovers over us until we got out. We won't stay again. We are here to see family and if any family member comes to see us the owner bird dogs us the entire time.
