    We loved Grand Rapids and there was so much more we could...

    We loved Grand Rapids and there was so much more we could have explored had we had more time. We plan on coming back soon though! We loved the Lantern Festival and Meijer Gardens. Both were worth going back for! The only thing that we didn't care for was the traffic and busy roadways!!

    Grand Rapids is all decked out for Christmas and it is just BEAUTIFUL! There is so much to do downtown and with great eateries and places to tuck into for a drink, it is the perfect place for a day of shopping and a night out on the town. We loved being there and were over the top satisfied with our stay at the Embassy Suites.

    I was visiting Frederik Meijer Gardens and to see a summer...

    I was visiting Frederik Meijer Gardens and to see a summer concert, so wasn't expecting anything from Grand Rapids but it's a lovely city and I would have happily stayed an extra night or two. I only had one full day to explore the city. The art gallery is really good and in a nice area for eating and getting a drink. The library is cool and we found it pretty walkable overall, or easy to find parking if needing to drive. Good restaurants, breweries, cafes, etc... And FM garden and sculpture park only about ten minutes drive is awesome. I feel there is much more to explore in this area.

    We lived there for 12 years so it was good to go back. A lot has changed, there’s way more restaurants downtown and a lot of growth and improvements. A lot of people walking around and enjoying the atmosphere.

    I canceled my reservation 5 days prior to my arrival date...

    I canceled my reservation 5 days prior to my arrival date and still got charged for a stqay that did not happen. I calceled through Booking.com and have been very displeased. Using a separate booking service rather than interacting with your guests and customers is a disconnected way to run a hospitality business.     The staff, Lori was sooo helpful and friendly. Our key card stopped working at 2am and she was so promt and helpful. Also the hotel was very accommodating to pets we took our 3 year old dalmatian and they had a great area for the dogs to go potty and bags to clean up.
