Amazing place - beautiful setting and grounds - a nature lover’s delight. Food at the inn - served buffet style when we had our dinner - was actually awesome!

A quaint town, the country was beautiful and there is lots to do if you love the outdoors. There are also small towns nearby with awesome food or coffee available if you’d like to explore but like a quiet place to stay. We are at a restaurant called “The Ranch” in a near by town and it was worth the drive. Exceptional food, coffee shop available and open on the evenings and plenty of gluten free options!

The Inn is in a beautiful park.

The Inn is in a beautiful park. There are amazing trails, swimming, horseback riding, and kayaking in or near the park. The area is a bit remote, so phone service can be spotty. There are not many restaurant options in the immediate area, but the ones there are okay.

    Loved the lodge gathering room!

Loved the lodge gathering room! With the fireplace going and carolers one evening with all the trees decorated was exceptional. Even with the weather not cooperating with us, we still hiked, visited the nature center and enjoyed all the sites, just without some sunshine: but it was perfect! Everything was immaculate and we really enjoyed our room. The indoor pool looked so inviting but didn't get an opportunity to use it, but others did. This is such an exceptional State Park Inn!! Keep up the great work!

Overall we enjoyed the cabins we choose.

Overall we enjoyed the cabins we choose. We were right by the trails and we were able to walk to the inn for breakfast and dinner every day we stayed. A major complaint we had was that the cabins did not have wifi. We were trying to upload photos but being in a low-signal area was very difficult. The cabins TV's also were very old and did not have an HDMI Port so we could not plug in and watch a movie we brought. We came for a hiking though, so wifi and tv's werent at the top at the list of our priorities. The bathrooms and bedroom was very well spaced and clean. We were impressed with the amentities in such a small area.

    Very small town. Clean town.

Very small town. Clean town. We only really saw one place to eat - 36 Saloon and it did NOT disappoint! Fast, friendly service and the food was AMAZING. We also rented kayaks from Sugar Valley Canoes. The place was a bit of a hot mess and could definitely use some employees who cared to clean the place/equipment up. But our kayaks floated and the time on the river was nice.
