Very progressive city investing in preserving its amazing architectural past and implementing big plans for its future. We only had planned on staying for one night on our way to visit our son and family in MN. However we ran into a nasty blizzard!!! The staff was extremely helpful and accomodating, guiding us to nearby places to eat, and allowing us to extend our stay another night due to the blizzard and highways being shut down.Guest review byBarbaraUnited States - 10.0

We stay in Mason City to go to Surf Ballroom events in Clear Lake. There is great things to see in Mason City though. We have checked out Stockman House museum, Historic Park Inn hotel, Charles MacNider Art museum, and the walking house tour.Guest review byHeatherUnited States

A little attention to detail would help - it could be very nice if they just did it properly. The photos show my newly decorated room's door stop.
