We were only in Mattteson as a stay-over for a concert in Chicago - we did do some quick shopping at a local strip mall and the Marshall's store we visited was nice & the staff we encountered were friendly & helpful. We ate at Chick-fil-a and the crew there was exceptional (as well as the food). This was a nice area to stay and much more affordable than in Chicago. THe hotel we stayed in was only a few minutes from Interstate 57 & Highway 30 & very easy to access.Guest review byRandyUnited States - 6.0

JUST LIKE I SAID BEFORE I HAD ONE MORE NIGHT IN MATTERSON SO I CHECKED INTO A MOTEL 6 MY FAMILY WAS NOT WITH ME SO DID AND IT WAS THE BEST SLEEP,REST CLEAN VERY CLEAN HOTEL THANK YOU MOTEL 6 FOR KEEPING THE LIGHT ON FOR US\ MY WIFE AND I HAVE DECIDED ONE WEEKEND THIS SUMMER IF ALL GOES OK WITH NEW VIRUS OUTBREAK,WELL PROBABLY CHECK IN ONE HAVING A MILITARY BACKGROUND WE KNOW ALL BOUT MOTEL 6 BACK IN THE DAY MOTEL 6 WAS OUR HILTONGuest review byJamesUnited States - 2.0

The area is nice but the Hotel needs some serious upgrading and deep cleaning. The elevator stopped between floors on me Twice. The handle on the door to my first room was broken. The bathroom shower curtain was old, dirty, and rigged up to fit the rod. The ice machine was nasty. The carpeting was utterly ridiculous; just filthy. The walls are a bit thin and I had one couple fighting one night and a man snoring the next. That's not the fault of the hotel, but the walls are a bit thin for my comfort. Breakfast was good and a decent range of options. There are also some options for snacks but they are limited. There is some liquor available to purchase as well.
