Merced area does not have the best hotels and crime rate is high, there is also a lot of homeless in the area of motel Drive. However, my stay at this Ramanda Inn hotel exceeded to expectations it was very nice, clean, quiet all amenities were new and up to date and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Despite its traditional charm, the hotel was very comfortable. My room was pleasantly clean, and the beds provided a great night's sleep. This hotel and stay was our best ever. Rooms are clean and comfortable and soooo cute. The staff all were helpful, friendly with wonderful smiles. Our only issue is that we drive a large truck that was tight to park but all worked out. Would love to plan another visit as soon as possible. Thus was the worst hotel for the price we've ever stayed in. There were roaches in our room, had to keep asking for towels because there were none in the room and we were there for four days. We were able to switch rooms after the first night of complaining of roaches in the room. The bugs were also in the second room as well but figured by then it was a roach motel. Will not stay nor recommend this hotel to anyone. I did get the picture of the roaches because they ran.
