Really fun and beautiful place.
Really fun and beautiful place. Great shopping, restaurants and night life. Be ready to spend though- two drinks were $56.00. Also note that every tab had a service charge and tip included. We had drinks at Wilde on the Porch- great people watching on Collins. Then we had an early dinner at TacoTaco right next door. The bike/walking path was excellent for morning workout. The water was fantastic in the evenings and mornings. Lots of restaurants on the other side of the road. Little Havana was fantastic. Unless you just want to sit on the beach or in the pool, don't travel to Miami in summer. It is very hot and humid and very unpleasant to walk around and be a tourist in the summer time in Miami Beach. The beaches are lovely if that's what you like to do, just like the Gold Coast in Australia. Miami Beach is quite a distance from everything.There is a free trolley service to get around, but all the locals use it and it gets very crowded when it is knock off time. We used Lyft or Uber to get around but none of the drivers speak English. There are no cafes, supermarkets or reasonably priced restaurants around the hotel. Miami Beach, as the name suggests, is great to enjoy time at the beach. It is great for partying, eating and drinking though the service charges are high.
