    The weather was hot, probably the hottest of the year.

    The weather was hot, probably the hottest of the year. But restaurants were great, plenty of different choices and prices. Sunsets and nature were great, and plenty of shopping, antiques and artsy and we caught an opening night theater that was packed and delightful.

    Mount Dora is a great vacation town.

    Mount Dora is a great vacation town. Very walkable, we recommend first going to the Visitors Center and a guided tour to get your bearings.There is plenty of good food (Pizzamore) and art (The Mount Dora Center for the Arts). We were there during the middle of the week in summer, some things were closed. Looking forward to visiting during Christmas.

    Really appreciated that the shops were not the typical tourist shops. Enjoyed shopping and bought some items. Enjoyed the restaurants that we ate at, Claire's Creperei, Olive Branch Mediterranean Italian Grille, Magical Meat Boutique, Allyson A Bake Shop. Could have easily spent two or three nights. One night was not enough time to shop & enjoy all the sights. People were very friendly and made us feel welcome to enjoy the area. Would definitely go back for another visit.

    Not impressed with Mr. Dora - too many people/cars/tourists! Shops were all closed until 10- or 11:00. Instead, we drove to Leesburg and loved it. A superb restaurant for my birthday, was "Surgers Grill" - excellent Cajun and Creole food. Highly recommended. We would return to Mt. Dora - probably 30 years ago, it was awesome. The Irish Pub for dinner was nice.

    Adorable historic town located on the lake.

    Adorable historic town located on the lake. Perfect for watching the sunset. We stayed at the iconic Lakeside Inn, a 140 year old property. Plenty of shops and art galleries, along with a variety of restaurants. Something for everyone.

    I’m sure that this is maintain privately by the owners.

    I’m sure that this is maintain privately by the owners. Which I believe is two people. It has 5+ rooms available. I think it’s too much not to have a professional cleaning team. It is packed full of antiques which are cute, but it’s a bit overwhelming there’s too much in there.

    Location of the cottages is perfect for a visit to Mount Dora. Only a 5 minute walk to downtown so very easy to get a meal and a few drinks and then far enough out to be completely quiet at night. Accommodation was very comfortable and well enough equipped with everything we needed. The interior was maybe a bit dated but for us that added to the charm of the building and the town as a whole. Would definitely book again if we revisit in the future

    Good location for us. We had a chance to visit the downtown of Mount Dora, though you have to drive to the downtown. It is walkable to a few shops and restaurants. The hotel room had a good view of the water. The room itself was okay, typical older hotel, but clean.Thick towels, always a good sign. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Fresh fruit at breakfast!

    We only stayed one night, but we will not return, my family and I saw: cockroaches, super bad hygiene, it smelled horrible, under the bed there was a cover with bodily fluids! terrible!! I think it has bad management because the location is perfect, everything is close by, restaurants, shops, and the town of Mount Dora is beautiful, but the hotel could not be recommended 😞

    The house is a traditional Mount Dora home and quite an experience. The apartment we had was furnished with beautiful pieces of the period. The old-style kitchen was impressive. There was even a screened porch overlooking the garden. Free parking was possible on the premises. Very friendly and helpful staff.
