It's a cute town up in the foothills.

It's a cute town up in the foothills. Nearby wineries, Calaveras County Frog Jumping, Golf Courses, State Parks, etc. I believe its an old mining town. There are also caves to explore nearby, and even some zip lining. Great place to spend a long weekend.

    Loved everything about Murphys.

Loved everything about Murphys. It’s a beautiful little quaint city with lots of charm. Great restaurants, fun bars. Main Street has so many great shops to go in. Looking forward to returning! Easy to get around. Totally walkable for a stay close to Main Street.

    Very good place to stay.

Very good place to stay. Be aware that most of the wine tasting rooms in town were not open early in the week and then only until 5pm in the afternoon. Was a very sleepy place in the day early in the week. Was a doable drive (if a long day) to visit Yosemite National Park.

Service was their strong point ! Thank you for that.

Service was their strong point ! Thank you for that. The only thing I would like to see you change is the breakfast offerings. One small frozen burrito and a small 4 oz OJ does not match the expectations of what might be expected considering how well the rest of the experience was. Other than that, our experience was very good and we highly recommend this hotel!

This is a cute, non pretentious place to go for wine tasting and exploring. The main drag is very walkable and studded with restarants, tasting rooms and cute shops for gifts. Nearby caves and caverns for geology lovers or venture out to the surrounding towns or up into the national park. Pick up the local free newspaper to check out local happinings and classifieds. Several brew pubs if wine isn't your thing. Do your due diligence and google a bit before you arrive so you don't miss out on fun special events or play it by ear. This place is just easy to enjoy.

It is nearly $200 for one night and it's mainly because of the convenience of it's location. The rooms are not really worth the $200 you pay, but it's all about being able to stumble back after a day of wine tasting, which is nice and I will continue to most likely stay there. The beds are so so on comfiness and the wifi is a bit spotty and the tv can be a pain in the butt. The people at check in and out are very nice and welcoming which I absolutely love!
