Unforgettable Stay at ROOST Kelly Drive – A True Gem! My vacation at ROOST Kelly Drive in Philadelphia from July 30 to August 23, 2025, was exceptional, offering a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and stellar service that made it a highlight of my trip. Outstanding Accommodations: The two-bedroom apartment was pristine, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The full kitchen, complete with a refrigerator, stovetop, dishwasher, and high-quality coffee maker, was perfect for our extended stay. The in-unit washer/dryer was incredibly convenient, and the cozy beds with premium linens guaranteed restful sleep. The smart TV was a great touch for relaxing after a day in the city. Remarkable Staff: The staff’s warmth and professionalism were exceptional. A special thank you to the young gentleman who checked us in on July 30 around 4–5 p.m. – his welcoming demeanor set the perfect tone. The team was attentive, providing excellent local dining recommendations and promptly addressing every request. Ideal Location: Situated at 4300 Kelly Drive, ROOST is steps from Fairmount Park and a short drive from the Philadelphia Museum of Art (5 miles) and Philadelphia Zoo (3.1 miles). Nearby spots like In Riva and Lebus East Falls offered delicious dining options. It’s a tranquil escape with easy access to Center City’s vibrancy. Excellent Amenities: The second-floor swimming pool provided a refreshing retreat. The 24-hour fitness center was well-equipped, and the fast, free WiFi ensured seamless connectivity. The pet-friendly policy is a bonus for those traveling with pets. Small Suggestion: While nearly flawless, management might consider adding a designated smoking area, possibly in part of the parking lot, to accommodate non-smokers like myself. Minor traffic noise from Kelly Drive was no issue, thanks to effective blackout curtains. Final Thoughts: ROOST Kelly Drive perfectly balances the comforts of home with hotel-like convenience. Its prime location is excellent

Awesome hotel room which is actually a large apartment with everything we need including even a washer and dryer. Located downtown, very convenient to discover Philadelphia. A first for us and we will definitely adopt it when we come back here, and we will look for Roost accommodations elsewhere too.

FAQs about hotels in Philadelphia

A Birthplace of Independence And a Public Art Mecca

The birthplace of American independence, Philadelphia was founded in 1682 by William Penn. The name of the city translates to City of Brotherly Love and the city itself is a vibrant mix of history, art and culture.

Philly, as it is commonly called, is famous for its public art with more sculptures and murals than any other city in USA. Seeing the best graffiti and statutes won’t break the bank balance as you can join many free tours and admire them absolutely free of charge!

It’s also home to many national historical sites with the Independence National History Park as a starting point and centre for all the major landmarks, including the Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Liberty Bell is located, the symbol of the American Revolution.

Visit the world’s largest urban landscaped park, the Fairmount Park with over 37 km² of green area. There are plenty of paths and hiking trails and after that, enjoy some local specialities: a cheesesteak sandwich, a soft pretzel or some Tastykake snacks.

Arriving at Philadelphia International Airport, you’re only a 20-minute ride from the city centre. Booking.com offers a variety of hotels in downtown Philly, near the airport or for the sports enthusiasts, near the Wells Fargo Center.

So many great places to eat.

So many great places to eat. Beautiful parks to relax, with plenty of places to sit. Towers for finance, highly respected universities and institutions, but at street level everyone shares the city, which can be pretty funky--in a good way. Sad that SEPTA is experiencing closures due to lack of funding. More cars in the city center could ruin the great pedestrian atmosphere.

I was born and raised in Philly so I can't talk bad about it. We are a big city with a small town feel because each section of the city has their own flavor and experiences. Being a city with five or more colleges residing, winning sports teams , Go Birds, museums for the birth place of our country as well as the famous Rocky Steps, and after that you should be hungry so please help yourself to well known Philly cheesesteak, in beef, chicken or vegan, water ice, and you have to have a pretzel. Summer in Philly is where we shine especially with the celebration of the 4th. So come visit Philly so we can bestow some Brotherly Love and sisterly affection, just a word of caution, never talk bad about our sports teams, lol.

The old town area is easy to walk around and contains many of the tourist locations. There is a tourist bus, the Philly Phlash which is very cheap (free for kids and seniors), that visits most of the key tourist spots. Otherwise getting around by the normal bus or subway is easy and inexpensive. Food and drink is not too expensive but the additional 20% tip that seems to be expected, is something to bear in mind. Good Delaware river waterfront bars/restaurants and water taxi to New Jersey.

Perfect apartment. After a month in a smallish hotel room in New York, this apartment was a dream. It was spacious with large living room/kitchen, separate bedroom, private bathroom. Included fridge, washing machine, dishwasher etc, and it was spotless and quiet. There is a subway right next to the hotel, which meant that you were in Center City area in less than five minutes. The hotel is also less than a five minute walk from Philadelphia Met, which is why I booked this property.

Lovely hotel, based very central in downtown Philadelphia. The room I had was very modern and quite spacious with 2 Queen size beds, There is a complimentary breakfast in the morning, which was decent enough. The staff at this hotel were superb, they were very helpful with any questions I had. The hotel is very close to a Metro station to get about Philadelphia, but there are loads of places to visit that were within easy walking distance as well.

Good, economical (for an airport hotel) 4-night stay, with excellent access from and to airport every 20 mins (10-min journey). Spacious room, with good bathroom facilities. Good fitness room, and I wish that I had used the outdoor swimming pool! All staff were great. 20-min walk to SEPTA regional train service into Philadelphia city centre (20 min journey, once an hour).

The hotel was in an excellent location and it was easy to get out and about in downtown Philadelphia. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
