The town and beach were clean and well kept with good restaurant options. We spent one day at the beach, but didn't go back because of the cost to get onto the beach. I live in CA, and couldn't believe that Point Pleasant Beach charges $14 per person, to enter the beach. The food was decent in the restaurants that we visited, but nothing to write home about. Point Pleasant beach is a great location,family oriented and lots to do,the main problem in season is that local businesses take advantage of the tourist prices are quite high and for a large family they will be broke in no time. Pizza pies for 46 dollars and breakfasts will cost medium size family a small fortune. Definitely will not make a great experience. The board walk prices are ridiculous and the aquarium should offer some type of specials . People need a break in these trying times. I'm always here "off season", so I can't comment if it gets crazy in the summer. I like the laid back atmosphere, it feels more like a community rather than a theme park. Small seafood restaurants connected to the wholesale/retail fish markets serve up wonderful local catch. I also highly recommend a visit to the Aquarium! It is a GEM.Guest review byJohn - 10

The Atlantic Motel was VERY clean both the room and the pool area. The maid service was not obtrusive. The website indicated that there was a coffee and tea common area, but there was not one. It was a long walk to reach the beach and boardwalk, but do-able. There was several seafood restaurants, but they were quite pricey. We drove into Brick Township a few of the days where is a lot of shopping and eateries. I would prefer to be a little closer to the beach the next trip.Guest review byNancyUnited States - 10
Point Pleasant Beach is perfect!
Point Pleasant Beach is perfect! Only $15 fee, and the beach was quiet, lots of room, friendly lifeguard. The town, and nearby Bay Head, have all the restaurants, shopping and fun boardwalk arcades nearby.Guest review byCasey BondUnited States
